How we measure
The exchange checks each part every 15 seconds and records every minute. A minute counts as degraded or as an outage when it was so for at least 30 seconds. The website is checked once a minute from outside, through the public internet, the way you open it.
Uptime counts degraded minutes as up and minutes of outage as down. Minutes when the exchange was not running count as an outage. A day without measurements is grey, never green.
This page is served apart from the exchange, so it opens even when the exchange is down.
